The Institute organized and participated at several workshops, seminars, retreats and conferences to improve the capacity of its staff. Some of the training are as follows;
Staff of the Institute attended a workshop organized by the Central Bank of Nigeria on 14 August 2007 at Owerri, Imo State, on the conversion of the micro finance institutions (MFIs) of non government organizations.
A workshop held on 10 September 2007 with the theme Nigerian Libraries for the Future Progress, Development and Partnerships held at Ibadan, Oyo State, was attended by a staff of the Institute.
A workshop organized by DELES was attended by two CIDJAP staff members at Iva Valley, Enugu, on 24 September 2007.
A retreat organized for the CIDJAP family was held at Ofuobi Africa Centre, Enugu.
