As part of their partnership programme, the Rotary Club of Trans Ekulu District 9140 Nigeria, Rotary Club of Ludwigshafen Reihinschanze, Rotary Club of Dusseldor Pempel-forth both in Germany and Rotary Foundation (USA) have over the years carried out some service projects on Responsible Parenthood Education in Enugu State Nigeria.

The present and 3rd phase of the project by the partners is designed to provide both the education programme as well as water reservoir and distribution of the treated water to students of VTTC and Ngenevu residents.

Also speaking during the sensitization visit, Rotarian Chukwuemeka Nwankwo traced the history of the project to 1999 when he was the Club’s president and Rotarian Clement Okwor who stated that the club would be reaching out to Enugu State Government to request for extension of the water distribution to wider Ngenevu community.
In attendace were Rotarians from Trans Ekulu, VTTC Students, CIDJAP Representatives and representatives of Ngenevu Community.
The following stages of implementation of the project was announced by the Rotarians:
Sanitization/Advocacy visits.
Training on Responsible Parenthood Education.
Construction of 50cm3 capacity water reservoir, elevated tank and water treatment unit with the accompanying distribution network.
To ensure proper execution of the project, a project Implementation Committee was jointly established by the club and CIDJAP.
Prior to the project design, a Past District Governor of Rotary Club of Ludwigshafen Reihinschanze, PDG Robert Zinser in Company of the local club partners led its president and the Director of CIDJAP, Rev. Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike to visit VTTC in a bid to assess the water needs of the arena.
A standing relationship has been exiting between Trans Ekulu Rotary and CIDJAP and this had translated to many mutually benefiting projects such as the on-going project at VTTC.
